Care at Lyndhurst
We want to bring out the best in pupils - to
build their self-confidence through the many chances they will have to
develop strengths and talents in academic, artistic and sporting fields.
We want our children to be happy and confident in what they do and to know that they are cared for and will be supported if things become difficult.
Taking Care
Pupils may turn to any adult with whom they feel comfortable when they have a problem but usually their form teacher will be the first person in the line of care.
Form teachers may contact parents if they have any worries about a child and will be equally happy to receive information from parents. If a child feels unwell during the day or needs any particular medical care they will be taken to the Lyndhurst matron.
After School Care
We understand that busy families are not always able to collect their children at the immediate close of day. Parents of Lyndhurst pupils who would like their children to stay in school after normal closing time can make use of the After School Care facility either on a regular or ad-hoc basis.
There are separate supervised sessions for Prep and Pre-Prep pupils. Sessions run from 3.45 to 5.45pm. There is no charge for the first 15 minutes. Pupils are looked after and given a snack and a drink and older pupils are encouraged to do their homework.
