Middle School - GCSE 4th & 5th Form (Years 10 and 11) Curriculum

Structure

Middle School Houses

The house structure in 4th and 5th Years is the same as that in the 3rd Year.

Teaching Groups

Teaching in English, French, mathematics and science is in ability-based sets. Teaching in the option subjects is normally in mixed-ability sets.

Class size is usually not more than 20.

Options

Pupils normally choose 3 of the following subjects, each taught for 4 periods per week:

Art, Design, Geography, History, ICT, Drama, Latin, German, Spanish, Music, PE, RS

It may be possible for pupils to choose 4 of the above subjects by choosing to study Core and Additional Science.

Additional periods are devoted to Assemblies (1), Activities/PSHE (2), Church (1), Sport (4)
