Welcome to Pocklington School
Since its foundation in 1514, Pocklington
School has inspired generations of young people. Exciting opportunities
and challenges in all aspects of school life enable individuals to
develop the self-confidence necessary to go on to achieve their personal
aspirations. I intend to build on that solid tradition; and ensure that
the values of virtue and truth remain strong within our community.
On my first visit to Pocklington, I was impressed by the warm and friendly welcome I received from everyone I met. The supportive relationship between students and all those who teach, guide, and care for them is evident as one walks around the school. Such relationships are key to enabling any young person to flourish and I would therefore like you to visit our community before deciding whether Pocklington is the right school for your child.
