Pocklington has been the most amazing experience for Alice & we will be
forever grateful. We often say that we cannot put it into words what is so
wonderful about the school; it is a happy happy place & if only you could
bottle it, you should!
My child flourished from shy and lacking in confidence to an individual with a
good education and good values, plus a good appreciation of world. Well
A BIG thank you to the school, so far really good! It makes such a difference
that the head teacher is approachable (and friendly) too - makes it feel more
like a team effort! Having the option to board on an occasional basis is also a
hidden benefit, which we have already used. Thank you! :)
Pocklington school has been a solid base for our sons to develop into two
happy and confident young adults. They have had very happy schooldays and
our daughter seems to be following on in the family tradition.
Our son joined the school a very shy boy who began to blossom literally the
week after joining. Pock staff have nurtured and supported him throughout his
journey within this school. I cannot say one bad word about anything or
The house music and drama events have a very positive impact on the school
community. They serve to break down the barriers between the different age
groups and create a real family feel in the house groups.
We love the atmosphere and how our children are developing academically,
socially and as well-rounded young individuals.
We had some (hidden) hopes when we sent him to England. It seems that all
these hopes had been exceeded by reality. We think that this is due to your
person and the wonderful environment and culture of that school.
Thank you so much for keeping our son secure in such a way and for the
great education you dedicated to him.
The teaching staff at Pock work tirelessly with the kids and I would like to
thank you ALL for the support you have given Joe over the years.
I wish you could have heard the comments being made outside of church by members
of the congregation just now. The service was beautiful, the choir are stunning and
everyone was so keen to give praise.
Thank you so so much for all your support over the last two years and
particularly your relentless encouragement over the last year! There is no way
I would have done the work that was essential to getting my place as a
medical student without it all. I am so excited to start at the University of
Leicester in 9 days.
Being part of the RAF section has been a pleasure and an enjoyable
experience that I believe has truly improved my self-confidence and many
other skills, (too many to name!) and is something that I will never forget.
I hope all the rest of the cadets make the most of it while they can!! I am very
sad to be leaving and will miss it so much.
Just one of the amazing memories I will have of Pocklington School!
I know I owe a lot of why I'm gonna walk out of that exam room happy is down
to you. I don't think I'd have been able to get the grades I've gotten or love the
past three years of history as much as I have without the love you two both
inspired in me for history.
Before Pocklington I'd been to two other independent schools which were
extremely good in their own right, but what makes Pock Pock is the
outstanding level of support from the teachers. I could write about every single
teacher that has helped me but then I realised I'd be writing about every one.
Hello this is a message for the Head Teacher and pupils
Yesterday my wife and our friends travelled back from Malaga to Leeds airport, along with a number of your teenage students and teaching staff.
I would just like to comment that we all thought the behaviour, politeness towards their staff and other persons flying, is a credit to your school and the students. All too often young persons are criticised for the least matters and never for their good conduct. So congrats to you and your staff and especially those students travelling.
