Congratulations go to our four Lower Sixth students at Pocklington School, who took up the opportunity to sit GCSE exams in the Autumn series. This additional exam series was offered to students who wished to boost the grades they had received in the previous summer at the end of their GCSE courses.

The grades achieved were:

Benjamin Symes - GCSE Japanese - 9

Devlin Hunt - GCSE DT - 7

Jessica McDowell - GCSE PE - 8

Tom Yeomans - GCSE Biology - 8, GCSE Chemistry - 9, GCSE Computer Science - 8, GCSE PE - 8

Tim Morris, Head of Sixth Form, Pocklington School, said: "The fantastic grades achieved by these students are testament to the dedication, motivation and positive attitude which they all displayed. It was hugely impressive to see them prepare effectively for additional exams whilst also making the transition to Sixth Form study!"
