Admissions | Pocklington School | Day & Boarding School In East Yorkshire

Choosing the right school for your child is an exciting, challenging and deeply personal decision. Pocklington provides an inspirational education designed to respond to your child’s personality and so enable them to make the very best start in life.

Welcome to our
School

We do hope you will visit us at our beautiful Yorkshire country campus. In many ways the inspiring surroundings and warm, family atmosphere has to be experienced to be fully understood. We believe that you will be more than impressed by the incredible experiences we offer to our pupils, both inside and outside the classroom.

At Pocklington, we believe in a holistic approach to education, ensuring that we discover each pupil’s individual talents and then enable them to shine. We achieve that by treading a careful balance between challenging them to be the best that they can be, but in a non-pressured environment where they develop the confidence to try, even if they may not initially succeed. A greenhouse, not a hot house.

We want our young people to leave us “adventure-ready” for wherever the world may take them next, and able to adapt to the changing environment that is modern-day society in a proactive way. To be creators of the future, not just consumers.

But don’t just take my word for it – come and see for yourselves!

- Becky Lovelock, Head of Pocklington School
