Charity Week 2026: A Fantastic Display of Community Spirit
Each year, we look forward to our annual Charity Week, and this year was no exception. From 16 to 20 March, the whole school came together for an unforgettable week filled with energy, teamwork and generosity.
Throughout the week, students and staff took part in a wide range of activities to raise money for our four House charities. The atmosphere was incredible, and the enthusiasm and commitment shown by everyone truly reflected the strength of our school community.

Highlights of the week included:
- Three members of staff being gunged alongside our Head Boy and Head Girl
- The Easter Bunny delivering crème eggs to lucky students and staff
- Student-run stalls selling sweets, cakes and other treats
- A tombola, “guess the name” competitions, and a golden ticket event
- A photo booth where students could capture memories with friends
- Rides in a Unimog
- A unique opportunity to contribute to a whole-school piece of artwork
- The chance to take part in fun challenges, including a cream pie or even a leg wax!
The week culminated in a non-uniform day and the much-anticipated Staff vs Students Football Tournament. This drew large crowds and plenty of cheers, with all teams demonstrating impressive skill and excellent sportsmanship - providing a fantastic finale to the week.

Thanks to the outstanding support from students, staff, families and the wider community, we raised just under £5,500. This impressive total will be shared between our four House charities:
- Dolman House – Inspire Children and Youth Trust
- Gruggen House – The Brain Tumour Charity
- Hutton House – Marine Conservation Society
- Wilber House – People’s Pantry Pocklington
Each charity will benefit directly from the kindness and generosity shown throughout the week, helping to create positive change locally, nationally and globally.
A huge thank you to everyone who contributed - whether through donating, participating or supporting. Your enthusiasm made Charity Week 2026 a tremendous success.
