Pocklington School Equestrian Team Crowned National Champions.

Members of the Pocklington School Equestrian Team enjoyed outstanding success at the prestigious National Schools Equestrian Association (NSEA) National Championships, held at Addington in Buckinghamshire just before half term.
Competing across several days and disciplines, riders delivered a series of impressive performances both individually and as teams. On Friday, Oliver achieved a superb clear round in the 70cm Show Jumping, finishing in the top 20 in both the 70cm and 80cm showjumping classes against a huge field of talented riders.
Later that day, the Combined Training team of Martha, Harriet, Hope and Anna produced excellent dressage tests followed by confident showjumping rounds to secure first place overall, earning the title of NSEA National Champions.

Success continued on Saturday as the 80cm Show Jumping team of Harriet, Anna, Martha and Oliver all jumped clear to qualify for the evening jump-off. Performing under significant pressure, the team went on to finish an impressive sixth out of 38 teams.
The weekend concluded with Cecily competing in the Individual Dressage Championships across Sunday and Monday, delivering two strong tests in a large and competitive class.

Coach Miss Sally Dearing commented:
“It was fantastic to see all the riders’ hard work throughout the year pay off at the Championships. They showed great teamwork, commitment and resilience across every discipline, and I’m incredibly proud of what they’ve achieved.”
The school congratulates all riders on representing Pocklington School with such skill, determination and teamwork on the national stage.
