Pocklington School Pupils Champion the Greene King Tub Campaign

Pocklington School is incredibly proud to celebrate the fantastic efforts of our pupils, who have collectively gathered 1,422 tubs in support of the Greene King Tub Campaign. This wonderful achievement is a true reflection of the generosity, teamwork and community spirit that runs through our School.

Thanks to the enthusiasm of our children, and the support of families, staff and local residents, tubs came in thick and fast, with pupils eager to play their part in a campaign that makes a real difference. They can feel justly proud of what they have accomplished together.

All tubs will now be collected and taken to a plastic reprocessing centre, where they will be shredded before being sold on to manufacturers to use in place of virgin plastics. This not only helps to reduce waste but also supports more sustainable manufacturing practices. Importantly, all money raised from the sale of these plastics will be given directly to Macmillan Cancer Support, helping to fund vital care and support for those affected by cancer.

A huge thank you goes to everyone who contributed and to the establishments and schools that served as collection points. Your kindness and commitment have turned a simple idea into an inspiring success and show what can be achieved when a community comes together for a good cause.

If you would like to see more of the inspiring opportunities and community spirit that flourish at Pocklington School, we would be delighted to welcome you for a visit.
